Ewart Liddell
An Irish Linen Company of Donaghcloney, County Armagh. The business was formed in 1973 by a merger between William Ewart and Sons, which commenced business in Belfast in 1814, and William Liddell and Company which started in Donaghcloney in 1866.
Famous at one time as the worlds largest privately owned linen manufacturer, such was the quality of their products that the company was chosen to provide the linen used on the ill-fated RMS Titanic.
More recently, reproductions of these designs have been available for purchase. They continue to produce linen in the very finest of Irish traditions, passed down from generation to generation. | |
